Bench Talkies is a compilation of six films from six filmmakers. The one recognizable name is, of course, Karthik Subbaraj, while the others are all aspiring directors. The films deal with various subjects and are in different genres and are of varying quality.

At a Babelsberg studio, two German actors try to outdo each other with their Hollywood experiences. At a chic Düsseldorf café, two expatriate French women envy each other’s respective life. At a construction site somewhere in North Rhine-Westphalia, a foreman informs the supervising archaeologist that he as ordered the concrete without her approval. In a trendy Café in Ehrenfeld, Cologne, a recently departed meets a friend of his ex to obtain a box with things he’d left behind. A Dutch business consultant desperately tries to sell his inflated services to a Bulgarian arms contractor at Brussels Airport. On a rooftop in the Belgian Eifel, the owner and the future heir of a family workshop quietly discuss the recent passing of the family’s grandfather.
Kadhaveedu (2013)
Kadhaveedu' is a dedication to Malayalam being accorded the Shresthabhaasha (Malayalam has been declared a Classical language in 2013) status and presents, as a single entity, three different stories penned by the doyens of Malayalam literature - Vaikkom Muhammed Basheer, M T Vasudevan Nair and Madhavikutty. The film is an anthology with adaptations of stories written by renowned Malayalam fiction writers Basheer, M. T. Vasudevan Nair and Madhavikutty (Kamala Surayya).. The stories have been tweaked to fit in a modern setting and the script has been conceived by the director himself.
Art Through Our Eyes (2016)
As an omnibus of short films, Art Through Our Eyes is inspired by the art collection found at the National Gallery Singapore. Pitch: A student gets absurd while working in a baseball club, and depicts the conflict that takes place in it. Electrical Technician: On the day of the written exam, Hyeon-woo finds Jong-beom cheating and informs the teacher of this fact but it didn't work. Spring: A wood factory in a deep mountain valley. Three young people live there. Chi-woong likes Hye-mi. Hye-mi wants to leave, and Seong-cheol follows Chi-woong like he's the king. Chi-woong tries to get in with Hye-mi by using Seong-cheol, but fails every time. Chi-woong and Seong-cheol's behavior is becoming more excessive, and Hye-mi's flower pot from the rooftop dropped, eventually killing someone. No one left that place after the incident.
