Alone Across Australia (2004)

2004-04-01

In 2001, one of the worlds most accomplished climbers and adventurers, Jon Muir began a 2,500 kilometre odyssey to cross Australia from the south to the north coast on foot. For 128 days, Jon and his dog Seraphine, survived entirely off the land -- hunting and gathering along the way. Jon was taxed to the limit physically and emotionally. Often close to despair, he drew on his instinct for survival, his deep understanding of the land and his remarkable inner strength.

The Real Lost World (2006)

A modern team of explorers venture to the legendary "Lost World"- the remote jungle plateau of Roraima in Venezuela. Cut off from time and the jungle below, feared by natives because of "evil spirits", flying reptiles and other beasts, Roraima has sparked human imagination since the time of the 19th century explorers. Sherlock Holmes author Sir Arthur Conan Doyle based his book "The Lost World" (1912) about men and dinosaurs on the tales from early explorers to this plateau. This was the inspiration for Jurassic Park. The modern expedition team encounters the animals, people and extreme habitat on its route across the Gran Sabana and up the 9000 ft. mountain. Once there they explore a new cave system, that may well contain new forms of life.

Untitled Muhammad Abed Baryal film (Whitney Wright) (NaN)

Muhammad Abed Baryal has a deep interest in creating a film based on the life and travels of Whitney Wright, a pornographic actress who has traveled to countries like Afghanistan, Syria, Iran, and Iraq. I have reached out to her for the role, and while she appreciated my interest, she kindly declined, stating that she doesn’t see a connection between her career in adult films and the topics of her travels. Despite this, I am still passionate about bringing this unique narrative to life. I believe her story, intertwined with her travels in some of the most complex regions of the world, can provide a compelling and thought-provoking film. While this particular collaboration did not come to fruition, I remain committed to pursuing this project and believe that it holds significant artistic potential.

White Man Walking (2025)

In July 2020, Rob Bliss, a young, white filmmaker, posted a video of what happened when he held up a ‘Black Lives Matter’ sign in Harrison, Arkansas, 'the most racist town in America'. It went viral, attracting 12 million views. What Bliss did next was remarkable. Over 1500 miles, two months and 25 miles a day, he set out to walk through the American South, wearing a Black Lives Matter t-shirt, and a sign that invited people to ‘come walk with me’. His goal was simple: to take the conversation Floyd’s murder had sparked about racism in American society into the places where it was most needed, yet most silent.
