Play Pretend (2024)
Two friends, Mia and Teo, meet up one evening and over a glass of wine, they debate the philosophy of love into its very depths. Being polar opposites, Mia argues over the inevitable end and pain that comes with the start of every relationship while Teo is more concerned with the loss of self and the change that occurs in someone over a relationship. By trying to preserve a memory that will forever exist in their minds, they choose to play pretend for the evening and live out the perfect relationship. The film offers a quick glimpse into an alternate universe where after years spent together, Mia moves out of the apartment where Teo and her lived together. A short peek into what could have been and also asking - would it have even been worth it in the end? However, once the hour has passed, they have to return to reality.

Each Anne stays at this small hotel, receives some assistance from the owner's daughter, and ventures onto the beach where they meet the lifeguard.

Unable to sleep, he begins looking around the palatial temple, and discovers a room decorated with many images of Buddhist demons, and an altar to worship them... Purposely destroyed serial film whose 19 full length chapters (averaging 86 minutes each) originally ran 27 hours in length.
The Eighth Day (1979)
Children as real human individuals with the difficulties this involves. Anna and Peiter are 11 years old. Peiter's parents are divorced. Only for one week a year does he live with his father, on the same island as Anna. The children have been friends for years. But this year (because of beginning puberty?) they have difficulty in getting in real touch. Day after day they fail. - Outside a café Peiter boasts that he can do everything. Anna tells him to fetch the thing she is thinking of. He goes inside, asks a guest to rise and brings his chair to Anna. This was indeed the right thing, and this chair will re-appear in other scenes. Another day Peiter boasts that he is not afraid of being locked up in a desolate tower for a few hours. Anna closes the lock on the outside. But her parents prevent her from going out again and Peiter remained alone in the tower for the entire night. -Finally all seven days have gone and the gap that prevented full contact is still not closed.
