Back in 1999 a group of comedians got together for a late night TV comedy show. Ten weeks later, the network came to their sense and booted them out. For those of you who missed it, and for those who forgot to tape it, here are the highlights of that exciting new program launched on an unsuspecting TV audience. A show with the less-than-imaginative title of "Rove".
Late Show (1999)
Hannes Engel is a successful radio presenter in the countryside. By chance, he is heard by program director Conrad Scheffer one night, who immediately recognizes the potential of the cheeky presenter and wants to sign him up as the new figurehead for his late show, which is in a ratings slump. But this proves to be more difficult than planned. First of all, they have to get rid of the old show host, then Engel's wife has just been thrown out of one of the station's productions, and Engel is also being pursued by a sensationalist tabloid journalist who never misses a chance to drag Engel through the mud....
The Court Jester (2024)
Unfolding during a 2004 episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, fitness trainer Richard Simmons makes an appearance. Amid the chaos and liveliness of the behind-the-scenes, Richard encounters David, an overlooked and underappreciated segment producer struggling with self-esteem. In a serendipitous twist, Richard sees beyond David's invisibility, offering his unique brand of honest, uplifting kindness.
Like Rabbits (2002)
A player in a famous orchestra finds sexual experiences with a Russian opera singer, which he enjoys much because his wife has just left due to the fact that he has purchased a porno movie. The orchestra player gets known to his neighbour, a gay man having also relationship troubles, and together they are trying hard to find a way how to go on with their lifes.
Wayne's World 2 (1993)
A message from Jim Morrison in a dream prompts cable access TV stars Wayne and Garth to put on a rock concert, "Waynestock," with Aerosmith as headliners. But amid the preparations, Wayne frets that a record producer is putting the moves on his girlfriend, Cassandra, while Garth handles the advances of mega-babe Honey Hornee.

The Big Fuss (1992)

We're Going Live (2024)
