Kuoleman lista (2024)

The main focus of the film is the life of Jewish refugees in Finland in the years 1938-1942 and the attitude of the Finnish government to their handover in the fall of 1942.

Hidden Children (2004)
This is a true story about forty Jewish children on their way to Palestine, who were blocked by the German and Italian occupation of Yugoslavia in 1941. Before finding a haven at Villa Emma in Nonantola in northern Italy, where they arrived on June 17, 1942, the children spent several adventurous months in Slovenia, caught up in the ongoing fight between the partisans and the Italian army. In April 1943, another 33 children, some from the Balkans, others from France, joined the original group. All were orphans who had lost their parents in concentration camps and had subsequently been smuggled out of Germany by Recha Freier, a well-known Zionist. The group ranged in age from six to twenty one and settled in at Villa Emma with their chaperones and teachers, Josef Indig, Marco Schoky and the pianist Boris Jochverdson.

This Country’s Sky (2015)

This is a decidedly quiet film that focuses on a single character and her survival in dire circumstances in the spring of her life.

Innocence Unprotected (1942)
In 1942, in Nazi-occupied Belgrade, locksmith and acrobat Dragoljub Aleksić wrote, produced, directed and starred in Nevinost bez zaštite, the first sound feature film made in Serbia. It is a thrilling action picture with musical numbers and prolonged sequences of Aleksić's acrobatic stunts. Nevinost bez zaštite was never released due to the Nazi censors. "Gentlemen, I assure you the entire Yugoslavian cinema came out of my navel. In fact, I have made certain inquiries, and I am in a position to state positively that the entire Bulgarian cinema came out of my navel as well."

Gamle Venner (2014)
