The Sonnenbrucks (1951)
Professor Sonnenbruck is a scientist who is not particularly interested in politics. Even the meeting in 1943 with his former assistant Peters does not change him. He does not betray Peters, who has escaped from a concentration camp, but that is already enough for him. But after the war Sonnenrbruck gets into a conflict of conscience. He thought that science was finally free of politics again only to find the opposite happening at his university in Göttingen. A medical congress in the GDR brings him together with Peters, who is working on a major research contract there. Sonnenbruck decides to visit Peters.
Heroine in Red (2017)
The two messengers, Hong Gu and Lushui, were assigned the task of secretly protecting the delivery team of the imperial court's disaster relief cash box. The junior sister Hong Gu was arrogant and did not understand why the messengers worked in the dark every time, as if they could not see the light. On the way, the cash box was robbed, but Hong Gu, who should have reported the letter in time, ignored Lu Shui's dissuasion and acted rashly and got involved in the fight. The man in black who robbed the silver box was highly skilled in martial arts, and the Yin-yin team was defeated. In the chaos, Aunt Hong caught a suspicious beggar and handed it over to Lu Shui to take care of her, while she went after the money box desperately. The beggar tore off the green water veil and fled, but accidentally left a jade pendant and fell to the ground...

Kung Pow: Enter the Fist (2002)

As the main character, The Chosen One, Oedekerk sets off to avenge the deaths of his parents at the hands of kung-fu legend Master Pain. Along the way he encounters some strange characters.
Black Butterfly (1960)
Lau Leung-wah plays the titled character, a Chinese Robin Hood who robs the rich to help the poor. She is an early Republican Era Mulan, who switches effortlessly between charming gentility and agile ferocity, and Lau personifies her character's duality with a balance of grace and vigour. Chang Cheh, on the verge of fostering seismic changes in cinema with his martial-arts machismo, pens a script that captures the spirit of changing Chinese womanhood, underscored by a conflict between Black Butterfly and her father, a veteran detective.

For a Lost Soldier (1992)
In the occupied Netherlands near the end of WWII, a young teenager, Jeroen Boman (Maarten Smit) is sent to the Dutch countryside to avoid the war in Amsterdam. While living with his adopted family, Jeroen meets and becomes friends with a Canadian soldier named Walt Cook, who is stationed at the same town he is staying at. Joroen and Walt spend a lot of time playing around and eventually a romantic relationship develops between them. The boy’s sexual curiosity leads him to have a sexual experience with Walt, an encounter that is shown with some vague detail but without actually showing any nudity, even though sexual intimacy between the two of them is implied. Overall, the movie handles this difficult subject with an elegant style and feeling, without having the adult-child relationship overwhelm the viewer and thus allowing the movie to be seen as just a wartime relationship between two people that marks an important time in a young boy’s life.
