This is a multiple animation which uses pixilation, pencil, pastel, stop-motion, paper cutout to express a simple but warm story.
The Nutty Network (1939)
A jungle land radio station run by monkeys pulls a prank by reporting an invasion from space is occurring and a large cutout face is hoisted above the trees so all can see. Fireworks are employed to sound like a war has started. The King, a Lion with a Bert Lahr voice, finally exposes the fakers. Inspired by Orson Welles' "War Of the Worlds" radio hoax.
Pickled Puss (1948)
The cat and mouse are in their usual game of chase-and-pursue until the mouse hides in a pickled-herring barrel. The cat gets intoxicated from inhaling the fumes and immediately becomes the mouse's newest best friend. He defends the mouse from a mean alley cat, and the mouse invites him to come home with him. There, the mouse takes care of him and sobers him up, and the cat immediately begins to chase him again. He reaches the barrel again and regains his newest best friend. Charlie Chaplin deserves an (uncredited) story listing.
If Cats Could Sing (1950)
Opera-singing alley cats. Just about every element that spells 'Terrytoon' is on display (including a bouquet of Tyer).
The Crow (2021)
In this animation, artificial intelligence is used to transform a dancer into a crow. The result is a haunting and compelling piece that follows the crow through its brief dance in a landscape of post-apocalyptic barrenness, to its inevitable demise.
Mary (2015)
Mary Blair is hired to work in Walt Disney’s gigantic and rigorously maintained garden. As he welcomes her and invites her to get to work, she starts producing plants magically. Although he is amazed, Walt cannot refrain from correcting and toning down Mary’s work behind her back…

Mishimasaiko (2016)

The Ravens (1967)

Día de los muertos (2013)
A little girl gets taken to the land of the dead, where she learns the true meaning of the Mexican holiday, Dia de los Muertos
Feet of Song (1988)
Joyful, androgynous forms shimmy across the screen to the sound of world-beat music.
Alternative Fringe (1988)
Famous for combining extremely simple line drawings with biting humour she lays bare the frustrations encountered by ordinary women in their daily lives. Candy Guard once disarmingly described her job as "writing funny stories and then drawing pictures to go with them", which goes some way towards explaining her success as both an animator and newspaper cartoonist.
The Public Voice (1988)
A short Surrealist animation from Denmark which begins with a zoom into a Paul Delvaux painting, then reverses the process by pulling back from a continually changing picture.
Louise (2021)
Louise, ballerina at the Garnier Opera in 1895, rushes home after a show but is stopped by a friend asking for money. Louise knows what to do in order to repay her.
Peel (2020)
In a hidden place, the daily routine of a retirement home unfolds as time seems to stand still. The penciled residents come to life on paper. Some are active, others rest or follow a fixed schedule that repeats each day: medication, meals, games… Around them, machines are flashing, caregivers are busy and crucifixes remind them of the death that lies in wait. Time fades away and a forest stretches out nearby.
